Hangover prevention.

The problem with hangover prevention is that it has a lot to do with keeping your head on straight while you drink. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of methods of preventing hangovers, and many of them are very effective, but they all require a little bit of thought to go into them. No matter what the vendors of hangover cures might say, it is not as simple as popping a pill. If you want your hangover prevention to work, you have to drink plenty of water, space out your drinking, not drink too much wine, and never drink on an empty stomach. It can be hard to manage to do all of these in an adventurous night of heavy drinking. Nonetheless, it can be worth it and help prevent those nasty hangovers that many people seem to suffer from.

If hangover prevention were as easy as some people say it is, there would be no need for hangover cures. For every hangover prevention that I've heard of, there are at least half a dozen hangover cures. You can drink water, drink orange juice, eat greasy food, eat healthy food, drink a bit of what you drank the night before, drink a whole lot of what you drink the night before – the list goes on and on and can be easily added to. Hangover prevention has a lot to do with common sense. A hangover cure, however, has more to do with what works for you. Some people need to drink water when they're hung over. Others can't stand the stuff and prefer to drink tea instead. Some people need caffeine, while for others it makes the headache worse. Fortunately, most of us have plenty of opportunity to practice our hangover cures. Continued Below.

My favorite way to get rid of a hangover involves a combination of these tactics. I always try to use some hangover prevention, but it is not enough if I am going to drink heavily. I will have some bread with my alcohol, which will soak it up and make it disburse through my system more slowly. Nevertheless, I can take it down! That is why I drink plenty of water and make sure that my curtains are drawn. That way, when I wake up about noon the next day, the lights is not shining in my eyes. I can take a few aspirins and wait for them to take effect before I get out of bed. Then, once the room stops spinning, I have some more water and a big greasy breakfast. This usually works to get rid of a hangover. Although I do realise that this will not be every bodies ideal hangover prevention.
