The second annual Race for the Animals is coming soon!Registration for Northwest VEG’s second annual Race for the Animals is now open. The 5K and 10K races will take place on Saturday, June 25 in Northwest Portland’s Forest Park, and will begin and end in Lower Macleay Park. The course mainly follows Wildwood Trail. , a nonprofit organization that works to bring awareness to the vegetarian lifestyle, will use proceeds from the races for education and outreach campaigns. The races are open to all ages, and runners, walkers and hikers of all abilities are encouraged to participate. And even though the race is for the animals, pets are not allowed to accompany humans in the race. To register for the race, visit the Northwest VEG website.
